My opinion on PU Prime
PU Prime is a multi-asset CFD broker founded in 2015 under the Pacific Union name, with entities supervised in Seychelles, Mauritius, Australia and South Africa. In February 2026 its UAE company, PU Prime Financial Services LLC, received a Capital Markets Authority (CMA, formerly SCA) Category 5 licence. That licence covers introducing and promoting only: your trading account, your money and the execution of your trades stay with an offshore entity of the group. On costs, the Standard account has no commission and spreads from 1.3 pips, the Prime account offers raw spreads from 0.0 pips with $7 per lot round turn, and the broker charges no deposit or withdrawal fees on its side. The entry ticket is low: $20 on the Cent account, $50 on the Standard account. Close to 1,000 CFDs are available on MT4, MT5, PU WebTrader and the PU Prime App, which was redesigned in September 2026 to bring live trading and copy trading into a single interface, in Arabic among 27 languages. For UAE residents, the two practical points are the Islamic swap-free versions of the Standard, Prime and Cent accounts, and the absence of an AED base currency, which means a conversion cost each time you fund or withdraw in dirhams. On the other side of the scale, several European and Canadian regulators have published warnings about the offshore entity, and the Trustpilot page no longer displays a TrustScore. According to my analysis, PU Prime is best suited for the following types of traders: ➡️ Beginners with a small budget who want to learn on a demo account, then trade small sizes on a Cent or Standard account, possibly in swap-free mode, while accepting that their money is held offshore. ➡️ Intermediate traders who want copy trading and live trading in the same Arabic-language app, with clear pricing between a commission-free account and a raw-spread account. ➡️ Experienced traders and EA users looking for raw spreads, MT4/MT5 automation and high leverage (up to 1:1000 depending on the entity and the instrument), who knowingly prefer those conditions to the protection of a DFSA- or FSRA-regulated broker.
- ✅UAE presence through a CMA Category 5 licence (introducing and promotion), with Arabic-speaking support
- ❌The CMA licence does not cover dealing: accounts, client money and execution sit with an offshore entity, outside DFSA, FSRA or full CMA protection

Why trust HelloSafe?
I'm P. Laurore, finance expert at HelloSafe. To write this review, I read PU Prime's legal documentation and checked the registers of the regulators that supervise its entities, including the UAE Capital Markets Authority licence held by PU Prime Financial Services LLC. I compared its account conditions, fees, platforms and funding options with those of other brokers available to UAE residents, starting with the ones we have already reviewed on this site. I also looked at the warnings published by foreign regulators and at what users say about the broker, including the state of its Trustpilot page. My aim is to tell you plainly what the UAE licence covers and what it doesn't, so that you can decide with all the facts in hand.

Security & Regulation
This is the section that matters most for a UAE resident, because PU Prime's local licence is real but narrow. PU Prime Financial Services LLC holds a Category 5 licence from the UAE Capital Markets Authority (CMA, the regulator previously known as the SCA), number 20200000388, granted on 10 February 2026. Category 5 covers introducing and promotion. In practice, the UAE company is allowed to market PU Prime and introduce clients to the group, but it doesn't open trading accounts, hold client money or execute trades. When you sign up from Dubai or Abu Dhabi, your account is opened with an offshore entity of the group, and that entity is your counterparty.
So the honest answer to "Is PU Prime regulated in the UAE?" is: its promotional activity is, its trading service is not. The entities that actually serve clients are supervised by the Financial Services Authority of Seychelles (licence SD050) or the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius (licence GB23202672). The group also holds licences from ASIC in Australia and the FSCA in South Africa, but those entities serve their own markets, not UAE residents. Note that the group's St Vincent and the Grenadines company is not regulated at all.
The difference is concrete. A broker licensed by the DFSA in the DIFC, by the FSRA in ADGM, or holding a full CMA dealing licence contracts with you through its UAE-supervised entity. Client money, conduct rules and complaints then fall under a UAE regulator. Pepperstone, for example, is regulated by the DFSA in the DIFC, and AvaTrade operates through Ava Trade Middle East Ltd, authorised by the FSRA in ADGM. With PU Prime, if a dispute arises over a trade or a withdrawal, it will be handled under the offshore entity's framework, not by a UAE authority.
On fund protection, the broker states that client money is held in segregated accounts, that negative balance protection applies, that it is a member of the Financial Commission (an independent dispute body that can award up to €20,000 per complaint), and that it carries private indemnity insurance. These are useful safeguards, but they rest on the broker's own statements and on a private scheme, not on a public compensation fund.
You should also know that several European and Canadian regulators have published warnings saying PU Prime is not authorised in their jurisdiction: the FCA in the UK (first published in 2023, updated on 20 April 2026), the Danish FSA (2023), CONSOB in Italy (2023) and the Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan (1 May 2026). These warnings don't concern the UAE directly, and they are common for offshore brokers that attract clients worldwide, but they confirm that the protection you get depends entirely on the entity you contract with.
Reputation is the weak point. Trustpilot currently shows no TrustScore for PU Prime: the score was removed for breach of the platform's guidelines. The page still lists 1,860 reviews, 55 % of them five-star and 40 % one-star, alongside a notice about fake reviews and regulatory attention. A split this sharp, with that notice, means the page can't be read as a reliable average.
| Indicator | Description | Evaluation |
|---|---|---|
| Regulatory compliance | CMA Category 5 in the UAE (promotion only); trading through FSA Seychelles or FSC Mauritius entities; foreign regulator warnings | 2.5/5 |
| Fund security | Segregated accounts, Financial Commission membership up to €20,000 and indemnity insurance, according to the broker | 3/5 |
| Risk management tools | Negative balance protection according to the broker, stop loss and take profit on all platforms | 3.5/5 |
| Notoriety and coverage | Group active since 2015 with several licences; Trustpilot TrustScore removed | 2.5/5 |
Fees, Spreads & Commissions
PU Prime's pricing is easy to follow because it rests on two models. The Cent and Standard accounts build the cost into the spread, from 1.3 pips, with no commission. The Prime and ECN accounts offer raw spreads from 0.0 pips plus a commission: $7 per lot round turn on Prime (from a $1,000 deposit) and $2 per lot round turn on ECN (from a $10,000 deposit). For comparison, Pepperstone's Razor account charges the same $7 round turn on MT4/MT5 according to our review, so Prime is in line with the market, and ECN becomes very cheap if you have the capital.
Which one suits you depends on how often you trade. On EUR/USD, a 1.3-pip spread on one standard lot costs about $13, against $7 of commission plus a raw spread that can be close to zero on Prime. For a few trades a month, the difference is small and the Standard account keeps things simple. For daily trading or scalping, the Prime account quickly pays for itself.
Broker-side, there are no deposit or withdrawal fees, and the first bank wire withdrawal of the month is free. The real cost for UAE clients lies elsewhere: PU Prime offers no AED account. Accounts are held in USD (or another major currency), so a deposit from a dirham bank account or card is converted, by your bank or the payment provider. The dirham is pegged to the dollar, which removes exchange-rate risk, but not the conversion margin or international transfer fees your bank may apply. Ask your bank what it charges before your first transfer.
Overnight financing (swap) applies to positions held past the daily rollover on standard accounts. Muslim traders can instead request the Islamic swap-free version of the Standard, Prime or Cent account, which removes interest-based swaps. Some brokers replace swaps with an administration charge on positions kept open for several days: ask PU Prime for the exact terms of its swap-free account before you switch.
What are the account-related fees?
| Fee type | Conditions at PU Prime | Market average |
|---|---|---|
| Opening fee | $0 | $0 |
| Maintenance fee | $0 | $0–$20/month |
| Deposit fee | $0 broker-side (bank or provider fees possible) | $0 |
| Withdrawal fee | $0 broker-side; first bank wire withdrawal of the month free | $0–$50 |
| Inactivity fee | Not confirmed; check the client agreement | $0–$25/month |
| Currency conversion | Applies on AED deposits and withdrawals (no AED account); rate set by your bank or provider | 0.5 %–2 % |
Expert advice
If you deposit in dirhams, open your account in USD: since the dirham is pegged to the dollar, it is the currency where the conversion cost is lowest and most predictable. Then compare the Standard and Prime accounts on your real volume, not on the headline spread. Below roughly one lot a day, Standard is often enough.
What are the fees on stocks and ETFs?
At PU Prime, shares and ETFs are traded as CFDs, so you never own the underlying stock. That means no custody fee, but also no voting rights and swaps on positions held overnight (unless you use a swap-free account). The cost per trade depends on the account and the market: check the contract specifications in the platform before trading, as share CFD conditions vary by exchange.
| Fee type | Conditions at PU Prime | Market average |
|---|---|---|
| Commission | Depends on the account and the exchange; see contract specifications | $0–$0.10/share |
| Spread | Variable | Variable |
| Overnight fee | Swap on positions held overnight (except swap-free accounts) | Yes (variable) |
| Custody fee | $0 (CFDs only) | $0–$25/year (real shares) |
What are the fees on cryptocurrencies?
Crypto is also offered only as CFDs: no wallet, no transfer of coins, no staking. The cost is built into the spread, and holding a leveraged position overnight incurs financing charges on standard accounts. If you want to own crypto in the UAE, a platform licensed by VARA in Dubai is the more suitable route.
| Fee type | Conditions at PU Prime | Market average (CFD brokers) |
|---|---|---|
| Buy/sell fees | Included in the spread | $0 (CFDs) |
| Spread | Variable | 0.2 %–2 % |
| Overnight fees | Yes on leveraged positions (except swap-free accounts) | Yes |
| Custody fees | $0 (no coins held) | $0 |
| Transfer fees | Not applicable (no wallet) | $0–$10 |
What are the fees on CFDs?
On currencies, PU Prime's verified pricing is the one set by account type. Other instruments have variable spreads that you'll find in the platform's contract specifications. Leverage can reach 1:1000 depending on the entity and the instrument, which is far above what DFSA- or FSRA-regulated brokers allow retail clients. High leverage doesn't change the cost of a trade, but it does change how fast a loss can wipe out your margin.
| Account | EUR/USD spread | Commission (round turn) | Overnight fee | Market average |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cent | From 1.3 pips | None | Yes (swap-free option) | 1.0–1.5 pips without commission |
| Standard | From 1.3 pips | None | Yes (swap-free option) | 1.0–1.5 pips without commission |
| Prime | From 0.0 pips | $7 per lot | Yes (swap-free option) | 0.0–0.2 pips + $6–$7 per lot |
| ECN | From 0.0 pips | $2 per lot | Yes | 0.0–0.2 pips + $6–$7 per lot |
Assets & Markets
PU Prime offers close to 1,000 CFDs. One detailed count lists 55 currency pairs, 22 commodities, 730 shares, 33 indices, 59 cryptocurrencies, 57 ETFs and 7 bonds, for a total above 960. That is enough for most retail strategies, but it is a narrower range than our earlier UAE review suggested, so we have corrected the figure here.
Forex is the core of the offer, with majors, minors and some exotics. Shares make up the largest share of the catalogue, mainly large US, European and Asian companies. Gold, a favourite among UAE traders, sits among commodities alongside silver and oil. Indices cover the main global benchmarks, and the 7 bond CFDs are an uncommon addition for a broker of this size.
What you won't find: real shares or ETFs, spot crypto, a wallet or local UAE equities from the DFM or ADX. For those, you'd need a broker or bank with access to the local exchanges or a multi-asset platform such as XTB, which our review shows offers over 7,000 shares.
| Asset class | Type | Number at PU Prime | Market average | Example assets |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shares | CFD | About 730 | 500–2,000 | Apple, Tesla, Amazon |
| ETFs | CFD | About 57 | 20–200 | S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 trackers |
| Cryptocurrencies | CFD | About 59 | 10–30+ | Bitcoin, Ethereum |
| Currencies (forex) | CFD | About 55 | 50–70 | EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY |
| Commodities | CFD | About 22 | 10–25 | Gold, silver, crude oil |
| Indices | CFD | About 33 | 10–30 | S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, DAX 40 |

Trading Tools & Apps
PU Prime gives you the choice between MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 (desktop, web and mobile), the browser-based PU WebTrader and its own PU Prime App. MT4 and MT5 remain the reference for traders who use Expert Advisors, custom indicators and backtesting. PU WebTrader suits those who want to trade from a browser without installing anything.
The most notable change is the PU Prime App, redesigned and announced on 29 September 2026. The new version brings live trading and copy trading into one interface, so you no longer switch between a trading screen and a separate social section. Leverage can now be adjusted directly in the app, a "Close All" button lets you exit every open position in one tap, which is handy when the market moves against you quickly, and an "Explore" tab gathers market news. For a UAE audience, the app's Arabic version is a real plus: it is available in 27 languages, Arabic included, which few offshore brokers offer at this level. The flip side of "Close All" and in-app leverage settings is that they make powerful actions very quick: take the time to check your settings before confirming.
Copy trading is integrated into the app. You can follow signal providers using three modes: equivalent margin (your position is sized in proportion to your capital versus the provider's), fixed lots, or a fixed multiple of the provider's position. Providers are paid by subscription or by a share of profits, so check the terms of each strategy before you copy it. Past performance displayed in the app guarantees nothing, and copying a trader also copies their leverage.
Order types are the standard ones on all platforms: market, limit, stop, stop loss and take profit. Negative balance protection is applied according to the broker, which means you shouldn't lose more than your deposit on a CFD account.

Expert advice
Start on the demo account and test the copy trading modes there first. "Fixed multiple" can amplify a provider's position well beyond what your capital supports: equivalent margin is usually the safest starting point.
Account Opening & Deposits
Account opening
Opening an account is done fully online, from the website or the app. You fill in the registration form, choose your account type and base currency, and answer a short questionnaire on your trading experience. For identity checks, have your passport ready, and as a UAE resident your Emirates ID and a recent proof of address, such as a utility bill or tenancy contract (Ejari), will usually be accepted. Upload them through the client area. Validation generally takes from a few hours to one business day.
One point deserves attention for expatriates. PU Prime does not accept residents of several countries, including India, the Philippines, the US, Canada, Singapore, Australia, China and Iran. The UAE is accepted. Eligibility is normally based on your country of residence, but if you hold one of these nationalities and live in the UAE, confirm with support before funding your account.
Good to know
Choose USD as your base currency. With no AED account available, it is the currency closest to your dirhams, since the AED is pegged to the dollar, and it keeps conversion costs to a minimum.
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Opening procedure | Online registration, experience questionnaire, document upload in the client area |
| Validation time | A few hours to one business day |
| Accepted deposit methods | Cards, bank wire, Skrill/Neteller, crypto; local methods depending on the country |
| Minimum deposit | $20 (Cent), $50 (Standard), $1,000 (Prime), $10,000 (ECN) |
| Required documents | Passport or Emirates ID, proof of UAE address |
| Practical tip | Check your eligibility if you hold a nationality on the excluded list |
Deposits and withdrawals on PU Prime
You can fund your account by card, bank wire, Skrill or Neteller, or crypto. Local payment methods may be offered depending on the country: check in the client area which options appear for the UAE. PU Prime charges no deposit or withdrawal fees on its side, and the first bank wire withdrawal of the month is free. E-wallet withdrawals are usually processed the same day, while cards and bank transfers take 1 to 5 business days.
Account currencies are USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, NZD, JPY, HKD and SGD. AED is not among them, so every dirham deposit or withdrawal goes through a conversion, at the rate set by your bank or payment provider.
Good to know
Withdraw using the same method you deposited with: it is generally required for anti-money-laundering reasons and speeds up processing. If you accept a bonus, read its terms first, as bonus conditions can restrict withdrawals.
| Payment method | Accepted currencies | Minimum amount | Processing time (withdrawals) | Possible fees |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Card | USD and other account currencies (AED converted) | Account minimum | 1–5 business days | None from PU Prime; card issuer conversion fees possible |
| Bank wire | USD and other account currencies (AED converted) | Account minimum | 1–5 business days | First withdrawal of the month free; bank fees possible |
| E-wallets (Skrill, Neteller) | USD and others | Account minimum | Same day | None from PU Prime; e-wallet fees possible |
| Crypto | Depends on the asset | Account minimum | Varies | Network fees |
| Local methods | Depends on the country | Check in the client area | Check in the client area | Check in the client area |
Account Types
PU Prime offers four live accounts, three of which exist in an Islamic swap-free version. The Cent account, from $20, lets you trade very small sizes, which is useful for testing a strategy with real money at low risk. The Standard account, from $50, is the all-in option without commission. The Prime account, from $1,000, offers raw spreads with $7 per lot round turn, and the ECN account, from $10,000, cuts the commission to $2 per lot. If you want to open a PU Prime trading account, my advice is to start with the demo, then choose between Standard and Prime based on your real trading frequency. The swap-free option is available on Standard, Prime and Cent, but not on ECN according to our information.
| Account type | Available | Main features |

Expert advice
If you follow Islamic finance principles, request the swap-free version when you open the account rather than later, and get written confirmation of any charge that replaces swaps on positions held several days.

PU Prime has the lowest entry ticket and very competitive raw pricing on its ECN account. Its competitors in this table, however, let UAE residents deal with an entity supervised in the DIFC or ADGM, which PU Prime's promotion-only licence does not offer. None of them offers an AED account.
Customer reviews
PU Prime's Trustpilot page currently shows no TrustScore. Trustpilot removed it for breach of its guidelines, and the page displays a notice about fake reviews and regulatory attention. The page still lists 1,860 reviews: 55 % are five-star and 40 % are one-star, with very few in between.
This kind of split makes the average meaningless, which is precisely why the score was withdrawn. Rather than relying on stars, read the detailed one-star reviews and check whether they concern withdrawals, bonus conditions or account verification, as these are the points where offshore brokers most often disappoint. For our part, we have not reproduced any review here, given the platform's warning about their reliability.
FAQ
FAQ
Is PU Prime regulated in the UAE?
Partly. PU Prime Financial Services LLC holds a Category 5 licence from the UAE Capital Markets Authority (CMA, formerly SCA), no. 20200000388, granted on 10 February 2026. That licence covers introducing and promotion only. Your trading account, your money and the execution of your trades remain with an offshore entity of the group, supervised in Seychelles or Mauritius, not by a UAE regulator. If you want a UAE-supervised counterparty, look at brokers licensed by the DFSA (DIFC), the FSRA (ADGM) or holding a full CMA dealing licence.
Does PU Prime offer an Islamic account in the UAE?
Yes. The Standard, Prime and Cent accounts are available in a swap-free version, with no interest-based overnight financing. Ask PU Prime whether an administration charge applies to positions held several days, and request the swap-free option when you open your account.
What is the minimum deposit on PU Prime?
$20 on the Cent account, $50 on the Standard account, $1,000 on the Prime account and $10,000 on the ECN account. As there is no AED account, a dirham deposit is converted into USD or another account currency.
Can I fund my PU Prime account in dirhams?
You can send dirhams, but they will be converted, because PU Prime offers no AED base currency. Open your account in USD to keep conversion costs low, and ask your bank about its international transfer and conversion fees. Local UAE payment methods may be offered: check in the client area.
Does PU Prime offer support in Arabic?
Yes. Customer support is available in Arabic, and the PU Prime App exists in 27 languages, including Arabic. Support can be reached by live chat, email and phone, 24/5 at minimum.
How does leverage work on PU Prime?
Leverage lets you open a position larger than your deposit. At PU Prime it can reach 1:1000 depending on the entity and the instrument, and it can be adjusted directly in the app. That is much higher than what UAE-regulated brokers allow retail clients, and it magnifies losses as quickly as gains.
Does PU Prime offer a welcome bonus?
PU Prime runs promotions from time to time, such as the in-app "Lucky Draw" deposit campaign from 29 September to 27 October 2026. Bonuses come with conditions that can restrict withdrawals, so read the terms before accepting one.
How does PU Prime make money?
Through spreads, commissions on the Prime and ECN accounts, and overnight financing on positions held past the daily rollover (except on swap-free accounts). The broker charges no deposit or withdrawal fees on its side.
Who is behind PU Prime?
PU Prime is the brand of the Pacific Union group, founded in 2015. Its entities include PU Prime Limited (FSA Seychelles), PU Prime Ltd (FSC Mauritius), PU Prime Trading Pty Ltd (ASIC), PU Prime (Pty) Ltd (FSCA) and PU Prime Financial Services LLC in the UAE (CMA Category 5).
Does PU Prime offer copy trading?
Yes, directly in the PU Prime App, which since September 2026 combines live trading and copy trading in one interface. You can copy with equivalent margin, fixed lots or a fixed multiple, and providers are paid by subscription or profit share.
Is trading CFDs with PU Prime risky?
Yes. CFDs are complex, leveraged products, and most retail accounts lose money trading them. Only trade with money you can afford to lose, and test your strategy on the demo account first.
